Code Enforcement
The Code Enforcement Division is responsible for the inspection and enforcement of residential and commercial properties that violate the City of Burnet Code of Ordinances. Code Officers enforce codes/ordinances related to property maintenance, zoning, signs and permits.
The Code Enforcement Division’s goal is to make the City of Burnet a desirable place to live and work as well as a memorable place for tourists to visit.
Common Code Violations:
- Tall Weeds & Grass
- Junk Vehicles
- Fence Maintenance
- Accumulation of Trash/Rubbish
- Dangerous Buildings
- Construction Without a Permit
TO REPORT A VIOLATION:
- If you see a suspected code violation, contact the Code Enforcement Division. The Code Officer will investigate the report and will work with the property owner for a resolution.
