When will my garbage be picked up?
Your garbage will be picked up once per week. The day your garbage is picked up will be determined by what area of town you live in. A map of the service areas is available at City Hall.

What if my pickup day falls on a holiday?
In the event your regularly scheduled pickup day falls on New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, your garbage will be picked up the next business day after the holiday.

Where will my bill come from and how do I pay it?
Your bill will still come from the City with your water and electricity bill. It will be due on the 20th of the month and you will pay your bill to the City along with your other utilities. You have 5 ways to pay your utility bill:
Pay by Mail- PO BOX 1369, Burnet TX 78611
Pay in Person- 1001 Buchanan Dr. Suite #4, Burnet TX 78611
Pay Online- www.cityofburnet.com (credit or debit card only)*
Pay by Phone- 855-591-2992 (credit or debit card only)*
Pay by Bank Draft- we will draft your checking acct.

Who do I call to change my service?
Both residential and commercial customers will call the City of Burnet to establish or change service. 512-756-6093

Is there a discount for Senior Citizens?
Yes, ACDI gives a discounted rate to residential customers over the age of 65. Senior citizens can choose from a 95-gallon cart or if physically unable to handle a 95-gallon cart, a 65-gallon cart can be requested.

What if I have more garbage than a 95-gallon cart will hold?
The price includes Bulky Waste Pick-up. ACDI will collect up to 3 cubic yards for free, on your trash day, of the first full week of every month. Anything over the 3 cubic yards will be a charge $5 per cubic yard afterwards.

What if a 95 gallon cart is too big?
If you are unable, for physical reasons, to use a 95 gallon cart, you may request a 65-gallon cart. Price is the same.

How will brush and tree cuttings be handled?
ACDI will pick up brush on the Bulky Waste Pick-up Week - Brush and/or yard trimmings securely tied together forming an easily handled package not exceeding 4 feet in length or 40 pounds in weight.

What about during the spring time when lots of trimming is done?
The City of Burnet offers "Chunk your Junk" on the first Saturday of every month. It is located at the Northeast Facility 3675 FM 963, Burnet. You will need proof of City of Burnet residency (DL & utility bill).

What do I do with refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioning units and other units with Freon?
ACDI must comply with regulations on disposal of these types of appliances. Therefore, these types of appliances MUST BE TAGGED by a certified technician licensed to safely remove Freon before they will be picked up. You may also take them to the "Chunk your Junk" on the first Saturday of every month once the appliances are tagged as Freon free.

What are the items that ACDI will NOT pick up?
Some items ACDI will not pick up include rocks, dirt, bricks, car batteries, oil, oil filters, tires, hazardous chemicals/waste or construction debris of any kind. The deposit of cinders or ashes in a cart, container, or dumpster is prohibited.

Will tires be accepted?
No, however, tires can be brought to the "Chunk your Junk" on the first Saturday of every month. Up to 4 tires (no rims) will be excepted per household.

I am a residential customer but I temporarily have a dumpster while I remodel my house. Will I still be allowed to have a dumpster and how much will it cost?
Residential customers can request a roll-off from ACDI for construction/remodel debris. The rate is based on the size of the dumpster. Dumpsters are not allowed at residential sites for construction use.

Do I have to use special garbage bags?
No. You may use any bags you like.

What are the hours of collection?
Collection of residential refuse shall not start before 7:00 a.m. or continue after 6:30 p.m. on the same day except in the case of unusual circumstances or emergencies. Commercial refuse and waste may be collected at anytime, around the clock.
